Self Catering Terms & Conditions

hese terms and conditions apply to Haytor Lodge Self Catering (us/we) and the person or legal entity making the booking or to whom we supply services in respect of the booking (you/your). These booking terms are governed by English law and apply to all bookings except where we agree in writing to other terms. By making the booking you are deemed to accept these conditions

Conditions of stay

We have some standard rules that are designed to ensure that we comply with regulations relating to matters such as fire, health and safety, and to enhance the comfort and wellbeing of our guests. If you would like to check our conditions of stay please contact us. We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour or cause damage.

Liability .

Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and to the fullest extent permitted by law all warranties are excluded and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages. We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us or our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.

Data protection

We may process the information you provide to us in a database. By making a booking, you consent to this processing of information. Your card information is not stored.


The outstanding balance for the accommodation booked together with any additional goods and services purchased prior to your stay must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to arrival date. Payment can be made using credit or debit card by telephone.


We welcome children, up to a maximum of 4, please let us know if you wish to book for more than 2 children and if you need additional facilities for babies/toddlers


Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome. No other pets are allowed.

Ferry Bookings

We can make ferry bookings with Red Funnel or Wight link for you. The price for this will be included in your account.


In the rare case that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we cannot accommodate you alternative accommodation will be offered if possible. however our maximum liability if we cannot do this is the total payment already paid.


Bookings are made and a contract between you and us come into effect when we accept a reservation from you. We will accept a reservation when we have confirmed your reservation and received the required deposit or the full payment of the total price. Where a deposit is paid, the balance must be paid by you 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18yrs to make a booking. Bookings must be paid for using an acceptable and valid credit or debit card. Where the full price is not paid 2 weeks prior to arrival we reserve the right to cancel the booking.


Rates are per week or per night for bookings less than 7 nights. Rates do not include other costs you may choose to incur during your stay (unless otherwise stated). Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number of guests, nights and dates shown. Should you change the number of guests, dates or nights, then the rates are subject to change.

Arrival and departure

Check-in time is after 3.00pm Earlier check-in times must be confirmed with us prior to arrival. The check-out time is on the day of departure, this is also specified on your booking confirmation.


If You have paid a Booking Deposit or the full amount of Your Booking:

If you cancel your booking within 2 weeks of the scheduled arrival date, as printed on your booking confirmation, the full cost of the booking will be charged unless the accommodation can be re-let. If you need to cancel your booking more than 2 weeks before the scheduled arrival date part of your deposit can be withheld. Transfer of this deposit to a future booking can be made.


To amend or cancel your booking, call the business direct using the number provided within the booking confirmation. If you amend your booking within 2 weeks of the scheduled  date of arrival, and as a result you cancel the booking a charge equivalent to the total cost of the  accommodation will be levied unless it can be re-let.
